I've spent six years getting graphs to point up and to the right. Turns out that's also the entire point of climbing a mountain, just with worse cell service and colder hands.
I work on monetization, growth, and AI products. Mostly the messy parts, where what users trust and what the business needs are not automatically the same thing. Today that's Citizen Health, building AI tools for people navigating rare disease, which is the most useful thing I've worked on. Before that, four years at Rocket Money, taking premium membership from 1.5 million to over 4 million.
Outside of work I'm on trails, summits and rivers, I make gear videos nobody asked for, and I volunteer with California Search and Rescue, which is the only on-call rotation I've ever been happy to carry. I like hard problems, small teams, and thin air.

Search & Rescue
California Search and Rescue
I volunteer with CALSAR, an all-volunteer team that responds to backcountry emergencies across California under Cal OES. Teams like ours run almost entirely on donations and trained people being ready when a call comes in. This year CALSAR won a Rocky Talkie Search & Rescue Award.
